Helsinki #4 Evening walk in Kauttajanoka and Sunday morning in Suomenlinna Island

We are back to Helsinki tomorrow morning to discover more of family-friendly Helsinki (and to forget that my mid-point meeting is Monday and that I am talking at HAMK university next week!)

Some photos from last weekend...

Evening walk round the stunning Kauttajanoka area of Helsinki.  Ameenah loved chasing these snow gesse!

The girls loved these paintings covering up the rennovations of the old Kappahaulli (foodhall).

Suomenlinna is an absolutely stunning fortress island and UNESCO heritage site, a 15 minute boat trip away from the Kauppatori (food square).  Parents with buggies travel free on the boat and children under seven travel for free so the boat trip for four cost us 5 euros return!

Toy Museum café with amazing home-baked cheesecake and crocheted rugs to keep cosy from the Baltic Sea wind chill....

Vintage Moomins - we can not get enough of Moominmamma and family!
